Black snake print poncho

Our signature poncho was designed by an Italian fashion designer and recreated by our Artisan Gabino. This piece is made using raw but mostly black yarns. The artisan uses the pedal loom to weave this one-of-a-kind poncho which takes approximately 20h to do. In order to get darker colors, the artisan needs to apply more physical strength in each move he does to compress tighter each yarn and create a darker, denser effect.

The fringes in the sides require the artfulness and ability to keep the yarns with a twisted look.

The artwork weaved in the poncho depicts the rattle snake skin when its shedding. For the artisan these artwork means that we are in a time of transition. As individuals and as a collective we are changing skin and becoming more aware of our surroundings, we are moving away from the status quo, redefining our own limitations. This meaningful artwork is the pictorial embodiment of our brand values.

This unsex, unisize poncho fits absolutely everyone and it’s great to use as a cover up for any occasion. Whether as a cover up for a sport session, going out for coffee or brunch with friends, sailing or as a cover up for those sunny days at the pool, beach or a nice beach club.
